Golf in Wales at one of the UK's top golfing venues

When planning golf breaks in Wales you will want to choose golf courses that are well worth the drive and you won't be disappointed at the Vale Resort. With world class facilities, two well-established championship golf courses and an array of top industry accolades, the Vale Resort one of the best venues for golf breaks in Wales.

Plotted amid 650 acres of beautiful Welsh countryside both golf courses have been host to a number of PGA golf tournaments over the years, the latest being the Wales Challenge 2009, and provide a challenging yet enjoyable days golf on any golf breaks, golf holidays and golfing weekends in Wales.

The golf courses offer a mixture of mature wooded areas, wide and narrow fairways and vast areas of water features. The Wales National at 7,433 yards of the championship tees, is one of the longest outside America with hole 6 being voted as one of the top 10 par 4's in the UK. The Lake course, slightly shorter at 6,436 yards, is just as challenging and aptly named with water coming into play on 12 of its holes.

In the Vale Academy we have a view of becoming one of Europe's great golf coaching academies. With expert golf coaching and tuition, the Vale Academy provides everyone with the opportunity to take up golf in Wales. State-of the art coaching video equipment, GASP advanced coaching systems (used by Sky Sports) makes us one of a limited number of institutions for golf in Wales that can boast these facilties.

Celebrity cyclists raise £20,000 in charity challenge
A team of 15 celebrity cyclists have raised £20,000 after completing Cycle Challenge Wales, a grueling 500 mile cycle ride around Wales. On Saturday 12th June, Welsh X Factor finalist Rhydian Roberts rode the final leg of the journey with the team Colin Charvis; Kevin Morgan; Richard Parks; Rhodri Gomer Davies; Aled Brew; Will Precious; Nikki McLaughlin; James Knight; Ben Mathew and Rhys Thomas.
