The aptly named Lake golf course

One of two exceptional UK golf courses at the Vale Resort, the well-established and aptly named par 72 Lake Course – which has staged numerous Wales and West PGA professional championships - is dominated by a 20-acre lake and has water coming into play on 12 of its holes. Its 8^th hole looks down over the largest heronry in Wales. Its unique signature hole, The Island Green (12^th), is ranked one of UK golf courses top golf holes.

Celebrity cyclists raise £20,000 in charity challenge
A team of 15 celebrity cyclists have raised £20,000 after completing Cycle Challenge Wales, a grueling 500 mile cycle ride around Wales. On Saturday 12th June, Welsh X Factor finalist Rhydian Roberts rode the final leg of the journey with the team Colin Charvis; Kevin Morgan; Richard Parks; Rhodri Gomer Davies; Aled Brew; Will Precious; Nikki McLaughlin; James Knight; Ben Mathew and Rhys Thomas.

The Vale Resort at Hensol has further established its reputation as a UK leader within the hospitality industry after receiving maximum points in an AA review, increasing from 74% to 85% over the last three years and putting the Resort at the very top end of the hotel and leisure industry market in the UK.
