Built more than 400 years ago, Hensol Castle was previously a stately home, NHS conference centre, and more recently, used for filming BBC television dramas Sherlock and Doctor Who.
Situated within the grounds of the Vale Resort, the 17th-century castle has original architecture, turrets, gothic towers and feature staircases, and is currently undergoing a restoration which is being completed in close association with the Vale of Glamorgan Council and CADW, the Welsh Government’s body responsible for preserving Welsh heritage.
The first phase of the £10 million revamp is now complete with the introduction of conference facilities. Phase two of the investment will include adding up to 50 bedrooms and a top-end restaurant with 120 covers, expected to be open by late 2016.
The real selling point for Hensol Castle is that it can be privately hired, giving guests the opportunity of exclusivity and luxury.
Your wedding day should be all of your dreams come true and the magical setting of Hensol Castle is perfect for any bride who ever dreamt of a fairytale wedding. Set within picturesque Welsh countryside, this beautifully romantic wedding venue provides the backdrop to the perfect fairytale wedding.
