Swimming pool, steam room and sauna

Offering a luxurious 20 metre swimming pool, that is temperature controlled, to ensure you have an enjoyable swim. Other wet facilities include mood lit steam room, traditional wooden sauna and relaxing whirlpool spa bath.

Swimming

Swimmers can enjoy the use of our dedicated swimming lane. That’s a full 20 metres of swimming where there are no interruptions from leisure swimmers.
All children under 14 years must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Children under two years must wear waterproof nappies when in the pool.

Children’s Swim Times

  • Monday 10.00am - 8.00pm
  • Tuesday-Friday 10.00am-12.00, 2.00pm-8.00pm
  • Weekends/School & Bank Holidays 9.00am-8.00pm

Child Supervision Guidelines

  • 0 months – up to 5th birthday one adult to one child
  • 5th birthday – up to 8th birthday one adult to two children
  • 8th birthday – up to 14th birthday one adult to four children
  • 14th birthday – up to 18th birthday an adult must be in the leisure club

Although we are a family orientated, we understand at the Vale that there are times when a relaxing swim is needed by our adult members. A swimming pool that is child free so you can enjoy a more relaxing time in the pool.

Adult only swim times

  • Monday 6.30am – 10.00am
  • Tuesday to Friday 6.30am – 10.00am, 12.00pm – 2.00pm
  • Weekends/School & Bank Holidays 8.00am – 9.00am, 8.00pm – 9.30pm

Aqua Classes
Aqua classes are held on a regular basis as part of our busy timetable. If you would like to avoid the swimming pool at these times please check times on our activity timetable 

Sauna, Steam Room, Whirlpool Bath

After your tough work out in the gym or your relaxing swim you can also benefit from the Sauna, Steam Room, Whirlpool Bath – the perfect place to totally unwind. These facilities are available to leisure club members as part of their membership and, of course, complimentary to guests staying at the hotel.

Celebrity cyclists raise £20,000 in charity challenge
A team of 15 celebrity cyclists have raised £20,000 after completing Cycle Challenge Wales, a grueling 500 mile cycle ride around Wales. On Saturday 12th June, Welsh X Factor finalist Rhydian Roberts rode the final leg of the journey with the team Colin Charvis; Kevin Morgan; Richard Parks; Rhodri Gomer Davies; Aled Brew; Will Precious; Nikki McLaughlin; James Knight; Ben Mathew and Rhys Thomas.
