The Vale Resort in Hensol is brewing up a treat to celebrate National Afternoon Tea Week this August (August 11-17) by offering guests a complimentary glass of Pimm’s.
Pausing for a cup of tea and something sweet is a much-loved British tradition that has become increasingly popular in recent years, and this year’s National Afternoon Tea Week is the perfect opportunity to take part in this quintessential British pastime.
Celebrating National Afternoon Tea Week, the Vale Resort is serving its Afternoon Tea menu by supplementing its selection of Welsh savoury and sweet treats with a glass of the signature summer cocktail, Pimm’s.
Welsh cakes and Bara Brith will be served alongside a traditional selection of finger sandwiches, fresh fruit tartlets and scones with clotted cream and jam. Also on the menu are mini berry pavlovas, chocolate profiteroles, and lemon panna cotta chocolate cups, all served with a choice of speciality teas and coffees.
Stephanie Metson, sales and marketing manager at the Vale Resort, said: “The renowned British love of tea has certainly developed over the past few years, so much so, that we now have a whole week dedicated to the tea-drinking trend!
“Today, an Afternoon Tea outing is seen as a great way to mark a special occasion, a thoughtful present, or a treat that makes catching up with friends that little bit more luxurious.
“We’ve definitely noticed our Afternoon Tea menu becoming increasingly popular, and we’re now offering sittings seven days a week to meet the demand. Our spread of teas, cakes and sandwiches has a Welsh twist, and one that locals and visitors to the Vale Resort can both really enjoy.
“During National Afternoon Tea Week we’re adding an extra special element to our menu with a glass of fruity Pimm’s, and we hope our guests will enjoy raising a glass to this great British tradition.”
Enjoy Afternoon Tea at the Vale Resort for two people for £25. Sittings are from 3pm to 6pm, seven days a week. To reserve telephone 01443 667800.
