Forget a bunch of red roses this year – men who want to treat their loved one to something a little different this Valentine’s Day should opt for a romantic Valentine’s break

The Romantic Valentine’s Break includes champagne and chocolates on arrival, a three course romantic dinner and pampering time in the Vale Resort’s award-winning spa.

To celebrate the occasion, Wales’ largest spa has taken the traditional gift of a dozen red roses and given it a unique twist by developing a one-off massage treatment inspired by the ancient symbol of love and beauty.

The Dozen Red Roses Massage takes warm oils, infused with the sweet fragrance of pure rose, to deliver a relaxing, all over body massage. The treatment is finished off with a glass of bubbles.

The treatment has been personally developed by the Vale’s spa manager, Claire Caddick, who is always trying to offer clients something a little different, that you simply won’t be able to find anywhere else.

Gents haven’t been forgotten and while their partner is being pampered, can enjoy a Mood Enhancing Massage which works warm tangerine and patchouli oil deep into the muscles of the back, easing out stress and tension.

The Vale Resort at Hensol is Wales’ highest rated 4 star resort with a 143-bed four-star hotel, two championship golf courses extensive health and racquets club including large gymnasium, pool, sauna and steam room.

The Vale Spa is the largest in Wales and was awarded a five-bubble rating from the Good Spa Guide, the highest award of its kind. The Guide also named the Vale’s Sundari Odati massage treatment the Most Marvellous Massage in the UK at its 2012 Good Spa Awards.

The Vale Resort was named as a runner up in the Residential Spa of the Year category at the Professional Beauty Awards 2012, and has been short listed as a finalist for 2013.

The Spa underwent a £250,000 make-over last year and now has 19 treatment rooms offering more than 50 different treatments, four relaxation rooms, a 20m swimming pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and steam room.
