2018 was a busy year for us here at the Vale Resort and Hensol Castle. Read about what we've been up to and what 2019 has in store for us.
Now that the January rush has settled and we are well and truly into the New Year, we thought it was time to reflect on 2018 here at the Vale Resort and Hensol Castle. It’s been a busy and exciting year with much more to come in 2019!
February - April
We started the year on a high with our wedding co-ordinators collecting the award for ‘Romantic Venue of the Year 2018’. Call us biased but when it comes to finding a fairy-tale wedding we don’t think you’ll find a more idyllic setting than Hensol Castle in the Vale of Glamorgan. Our 400-year-old Grade I-listed castle is the stuff of childhood dreams.
Thankfully in March, the Beast from the East didn’t stop our wedding celebrations at Hensol Castle! Laura and Jon had their fairy-tale wedding with the addition of our castle blanketed in snow – an idyllic wedding venue!

May – August
We welcomed summer and the start of our beautiful wedding season. When you’ve got 650 acres to play with, and picture perfect surroundings you can bet our brides and photographers took advantage of our grand castle exterior, picturesque lake and our gorgeously green surroundings. As you can see, our grounds create the perfect backdrop for that special day.
As one of our busiest seasons of the year we broke our own personal record for hosting 11 Weddings in 21 Days!! We believe this to be one of our biggest achievements, and thank all of our staff who helped us to pull this off. We love hosting weddings and love making your special day everything and more so thank you to all of our hard-working staff who helped is pull this off.

September – December
As summer celebrations came to an end, we kept the party going with our autumn and winter weddings. Although the weather may have changed our brides still loved their weddings here with us. With our winter menus in full swing, fallings leaves created a warming feel and the winter sun gave our brides the perfect lighting for their fairy-tale wedding photos!

For us here at the Vale Resort and Hensol Castle, we love reminiscing about our fantastic year of wonderful weddings and beautiful brides. Now we look forward to what 2019 holds for us, and what will be a busy year for our wedding and events team.
