Our Knee Clinic is unique in providing an interactive role between specialist Consultants and Surgeons and physiotherapists in the diagnoses of patients and the treatment of knee pain and disability.

Accurate Diagnosis- begins by listening to our patients. Our consultants will take a detailed history of your symptoms and perform a thorough yet specific examination of your knee. An array of clinical provocative tests will aid the consultants to establish the diagnosis of your problem.

Diagnostic Testing - Imaging and diagnostic studies which include MRI scans, conventional x-rays and electro-diagnostic studies, are used to help pinpoint your problem and guide your treatment programme.

Treatment Excellence- Each consultant has years of experience evaluating and treating a broad spectrum of knee problems.

Team Approach - Surgeons and specialist knee physiotherapists interact in the implementation of treatment programmes. This will significantly reduce the potential risk of long term disability, help enable patients to manage for themselves and therefore enhance recovery time.

Mr David Pemberton
Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon
He has a particular interest in soft tissue reconstruction of the knee, arthroscopic surgery and lower limb arthroplasty including revision surgery.

Mr. Chris Wilson
Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon
He has a busy practice of both trauma (accident) surgery and elective surgery and his main interests are all forms of knee surgery.

Mr Rhys Llewellyn Williams
Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon
His special interests are in soft tissue reconstruction and arthroplasty of the knee as well as joint replacement.

Mr Tim Atter MSc MCSP SRP
Clinic Director
Tim is a chartered physiotherapist with 18 years experience. He has obtained his MSc in sports injury and therapy. His main area of expertise is in knee and shoulder rehabilitation.
