Vale Clinic

Shoulder Clinic

Shoulder pain and dysfunction can affect any one, and ultimately all aspects of our lives. Whilst most of our patients are referred from their General Practitioner, many of our patients have discovered that our surgeons have a reputation for providing excellent treatment and care.

The key elements to our reputation are:-

Accurate Diagnosis-
begins by listening to our patients. A patient's history is taken, and a physical examination is undertaken to ascertain the cause of the problem.

Diagnostic Testing - Imaging and diagnostic studies which include MRI scans, conventional x-rays and electro-diagnostic studies, are used to help pinpoint your problem and guide your treatment programme.

Treatment Excellence- Each consultant has years of experience evaluating and treating a broad spectrum of shoulder problems.

Team Approach -

Surgeons and specialist shoulder physiotherapists interact in the implementation of treatment programmes. This will significantly reduce the potential risk of long term disability, help enable patients to manage for themselves and therefore enhance recovery time.

We are able to offer expert opinions on the following conditions:-

  • Shoulder joint instability
  • Subacromial impingement
  • Capsulitis/frozen shoulder
  • Shoulder joint replacement
  • Rotator cuff pathology
  • ACJ problems

Rehabilitation
Our Rehabilitation Team performs pre-operative evaluations on all surgical patients. This evaluation includes education and training that the patient will need immediatly after their procedure to facilitate recovery.
