The Vale Hotel, Golf & Spa Resort in Hensol has been named Wales' Best Spa Resort at the most influential worldwide travel awards ceremony.

The World Travel Awards are voted for by more than 150,000 frontline agents and 80,000 travel agents worldwide through an online voting system and is recognised as one of the most prestigious award ceremonies in the tourism industry.

The Vale Resort collected its award at an exotic ceremony in Turks & Caicos alongside some of the travel industry's most famous brands.

The Vale Resort demonstrated its commitment to providing top class spa facilities earlier this year with a refurbishment of the spa to include, newly restyled treatment suites, a refurbished relaxation lounge and the appointment ofa new Spa Manager from the world famous Sanctuary Spa in Covent Garden.
